MAC / CURRENT SOURCE PREVIEW

Install from the supplied project ZIP.

  1. Extract the sysZivo package.

    Use the project ZIP supplied by the project owner. Open Terminal inside its desktop folder.

  2. Check Python and Tk.
    python3 --version
python3 -m tkinter

    The second command should open a small test window. If it cannot, install a Python distribution with Tk support before continuing.

  3. Create an isolated environment and install dependencies.
    python3 -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
python -m pip install -r requirements.lock
  4. Launch local monitoring.
    python -m syszivo.desktop

    You can inspect your device without signing in. Choose folders you want to scan; OS permissions still apply.

  5. Optionally connect cloud history.
    cp .env.example .env

    Set SYSZIVO_API_URL to your deployed HTTPS domain, restart the app, sign in with a confirmed account and explicitly enable sync.

When a signed DMG is released

Download the verified sysZivo installer, open the DMG, drag sysZivo to Applications, eject the disk image, then open the app from Applications. Exact compatibility and checksum information must accompany that release. Do not disable system security to run an unverified package.
